We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, account details, skin profile, skincare routine, product preferences, ingredient concerns, product searches, product comparisons, reviews, check-ins, chat messages, feedback, and support requests.

If you use label scanning or tracking features, we may collect photos or text you submit from product packaging, ingredient lists, skin check-ins, or other content you choose to upload. Please do not submit information you do not want Skincareful to process.

We collect usage and device information such as app interactions, pages or screens viewed, feature usage, crash logs, IP address, browser or device type, operating system, referral URLs, timestamps, and general location inferred from technical data.

If you purchase a paid plan, our payment providers may process payment details. We receive limited purchase and subscription information, such as plan type, status, renewal dates, and transaction identifiers, but we do not store full payment card numbers.

We use information to provide and personalize Skincareful, including product lookups, ingredient explanations, compatibility verdicts, routine checks, label scans, saved routines, reviews, chat context, skin tracking, and account features.

We also use information to communicate with you, provide support, process subscriptions, improve product quality, develop new features, monitor performance, prevent fraud or misuse, protect the service, and comply with legal obligations.

Skincareful is not a medical provider and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional medical advice. We use the information you provide to give skincare context, not to make medical decisions.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us run Skincareful, including hosting, databases, analytics, app performance, crash reporting, AI and scanning tools, payment processing, email delivery, customer support, security, and similar operational services.

If you post reviews, community content, profile details, or other public content inside Skincareful, that content may be visible to other users according to the feature settings.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate suspected abuse, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets involving Skincareful.

Skincareful may use automated systems, AI tools, optical character recognition, ingredient databases, and product data providers to process scans, chats, product searches, and routine checks. These tools may process the content you submit so the app can provide explanations, verdicts, comparisons, and recommendations.

Automated analysis may be incomplete or incorrect, especially when product labels are unclear, formulas change, databases are outdated, or your personal circumstances require professional judgment.

You can update certain account information in the app. You can ask us to access, correct, delete, or stop using your personal information by emailing hi@skincareful.app. You can also unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails when available.

Some privacy rights depend on where you live. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights that apply to you.

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide your account, saved routines, check-ins, reviews, subscriptions, support history, and app features; improve the product; resolve disputes; enforce agreements; and comply with legal requirements.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet or electronic storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Skincareful is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy as Skincareful evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and take additional steps to notify you when required.
